What you need to know about me

I love wedding planning. Nothing excites me more than thinking about dresses, rings and the perfect music with which to walk down the aisle.

I planned my wedding to perfection and my wedding budget went from $25,000 down to about $10,000 by planning my wedding early and spending the time to do some things myself.

Whether you are on a budget, or have unlimited funds, I can be your wedding planner online.

So You're Planning Your Wedding! Where do you start?

So you've set the date. Congratulations! Now you can run around like a chicken with its head cut off until your magical day, or you can sit down and make dedicated lists to organize your wedding properly. Your first list should be how you're going to pay for wedding.

Before you can choose your dress, plan your honeymoon or decide your wedding colors, you should have a rough idea of how much you have to spend.  It's important to know if your parents or family will be helping with the costs. Now you begin the budget planning phase.

Every wedding budget includes some very basic items.  When you make your list, include generic items first.  For example, your clothing, locations and food. You can find a detailed wedding budget list, and ways to prioritize the wedding planning, on my other blog. You can also find helpful hints on how to save money by trimming your wedding budget.

Once you have an itemized list of everything you need for your wedding, it's time to start shopping around.  When you're shopping begin with the items that need longest time to organize.  For example, the wedding location.

While there are many things to five for a wedding, there are also many things that need to be done.  Other than shopping, the very first thing a bride and groom need to do is begin their guest list.  Make sure to counsel with family and friends, in case there somebody you might forget.  I found it very useful to have a family album and family tree on hand when we created our list.

Day one of your wedding planning should include a weight loss plan, if needed. Safe weight-loss, without excessive muscle loss, is about one to 2 pounds a week at most.  Now is the time to change her wedding date if there isn't enough time to lose the weight you want before the wedding.  You can find more about weight loss on my blog.  Everything I use is free and available online.

Now you have your list, your budget, and a plan for your wedding.  Stay tuned for my upcoming blogs about wedding planning.
